The Violet Crown Festival is an annual celebration of the
Brentwood and Crestview neighborhoods, attracting thousands
of visitors each summer to enjoy a spectacular showcase of
local art, entertainment and community activities in the heart
of the neighborhood. The Violet Crown Community Works board
is honored to host the Fifth Annual Violet Crown Festival on
Saturday, May 5, 2007, from noon to 7 p.m. in Brentwood Park.
Enthusiastically supported by community groups and area businesses,
the 2007 festival will feature a great line-up of Austin music;
food from Curra's Grill and other local vendors; a community
tent; artisans' booths; children's activities; a
silent auction; and more.
The Violet Crown Festival offers your business an excellent
opportunity for visibility through numerous promotions. Past
festivals benefitted the Wall of Welcome Project, a tile-and-mosaic
mural created by and for the residents of Brentwood and Crestview,
to be completed this spring.
The festival continues to support Violet Crown Community Works,
a non-profit organization dedicated to community improvement
projects.
You can show your support in a variety of ways, including:
* Making a donation of cash or materials.
* Donating items or gift certificates for the festival's silent auction.
* Loaning photos or memorabilia related to Brentwood and/or Crestview to be
scanned for an exhibit in the Community Tent. (Originals will be promptly returned
to you.)
